His appeal includes: The defendant and a friend entered a tavern before midnight and the defendant shot the owner, the cook, a waitress and, a customer each once in the head at close range. The next day the defendant was arrested on a public intoxication charge and, once in custody, was served with arrest warrants for the murders. He confessed to the killings, admitting that he and his friend had intended to rob the tavern and that she had taken approximately $400 from the cash register. Status: Unknown As seen on Women behind Bars, Cindy Countess was convicted of 2nd degree murder in 2003 of the stomping death of her mother. She is not currently found using inmate search. There are not news articles about her release or pardon. Her sister has been working diligently to have her released. Her whereabouts are unknown at this time. Her sister's petition is below. According to her petition, On April 28, 2004, the Circuit Court for the City of Roanoke found Countess guilty of second degree murder and sentenced her to 30 years incarceration and suspended 16 of those years.It is certainly likely she has been released.
